A big thank-you to all the outgoing committee for all their hard work over the past year.

British Submarine Swordfish - Thursday 9th October

SimonD went off to do the Swordfish, (40M) shot was launched, but...the story goes... when he got to the bottom somone had moved the wreck, a drift around found mud! SimonD went off and dived the Luis 22M for a second dive.

Diving from Bracklesham Bay - Saturday 27th September

The RiB was put to use for diving from Bracklesham Bay. The sun shone but problems launching the RiB over the shingle beach by the lifeboat launch meant the planned dive on the Shirala had to be abandoned as slack would be missed. Instead the Mulberries were chosen. The 1st pair (John and Colin) attempted the dive but slack had again been missed and they decided to abort. The intrepid pair of Steven and Andy fought the current and dived although it was amusing to see them hugging the shot line for all they were worth whilst they ascended! The later dive was on the Flag Theofan on the edge of the busy shipping channel. All dived but conditions were poor so the dive was not as spectacular as it promised to be. Congratulations to Alan Y for enduring his most arduous open water dive yet! No problems landing the RiB and it was nice to enjoy ice creams on the beach before heading home. Thanks to Steven for organising.

Lundy Diving 13th-14th September

Thanks to Eric for organising the Lundy trip for club members. The sun was ordered and duly arrived for some good diving around Lundy and camping just outside Ilfracombe. Andy even found a dive camera on the seabed that still works.
